Sanctity of Life Month

We set aside a Sunday in January (usually the 3rd Sunday) to promote the Sanctity of Life. On this day, we come together as a community to support the important work of the Pregnancy Care Center in Republic, MO, by taking up a special offering.

Easter Fun Day

It takes place the Saturday before Easter Sunday.  Once registered, kids can pick out an appropriate age easter basket filled with fun items; make crafts in the craft room; listen to the Resurrection Story; participate in an Easter Egg Hunt, broken down by ages and finish off the day with hot dogs, chips and ice cream floats.

Harvest Festival

Community Thanksgiving Service

Held on the Sunday evening before Thanksgiving! We invite all our Battlefield area church members to come together for a joyful worship service. A light meal is served afterwards.

Operation Christmas Child

What is it?
One of the mission activities First Baptist Battlefield supports is Operation Christmas Child (OCC), a project of Samaritan’s Purse (Franklin Graham, president). This organization sends gift-filled shoeboxes to children in need around the world together with the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The shoebox is a tangible expression of God’s love and the love of the people in our church.  We cannot all go to foreign lands to personally share Jesus but as Franklin Graham says, “every box sent is an opportunity to reach a child with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.”
What our church does.
FBB people gather items (health, school, toys) to go in shoeboxes all year.
We meet periodically (usually the first Friday of every month) in the Count and Sort group, organizing items and praying for the boxes.
Then the whole church, all ages, is invited to participate in the packing of the boxes.  This usually takes place with 4 parties. The Lord has blessed us to pack around 1200 boxes each of the last 4 years. Praise God!!
Boxes may also be packed at home or online.
Guidance for these is also provided if needed.
We, as a church, are certainly blessed by this ministry.  We have fun and fellowship.  Our children, as well as ourselves, can easily be taught the joy of giving.  As we strive to be a blessing, we are blessed.
